I first started teaching in Costa Rica, my home country. I taught solfege and ear training to children in the preacademic music program in the University of Costa Rica, and violin in their special program for small children of 5-6 years old. I have also taught violin, and music in other institutions such as Academia de Musica Méndez (Costa Rica), Escola de Música Freqüències (Vilanova i la Geltrù, Spain), and Scuola di Musica Thelonius Monk (Mira), among others. I held a Teaching Assistantship for an ethnomusicology class on Mexican Music at the University of Arizona.
I have taken pedagogy seminars with Marta Rosa Tápanes (UCR, Costa Rica) and with Jan Dobrzelewski (EMAI, Costa Rica). I am currently finishing a master's degree in instrumental pedagogy in the Conservatory of Padua.
